Summer 2016 GCSE Results

GCSE Results 2016

We are extremely proud of the success achieved by our students. This year 69% of our students gained C grade or above in both their English and maths examinations. In English Language, 80% of our students gained a grade C or above and 25% achieved A* or A grades. In maths 73% of students gained a C or above with 16% achieving A* or A grades.

There were a significant number of higher grade passes this year with 20% of all grades awarded at A* and A and 1 in 8 of our students leaving with six or more GCSE grades at this level. There were also some stunning individual successes with 9 of our students having been awarded A* or A grades in all of their GCSEs.

We are delighted that the hard work and perseverance of our Y11 students has paid off and would like to congratulate the students as well as parents and our dedicated staff whose support has been a vital element in the students’ success.

Summer 2016 A Level Results

Our inclusive sixth form continues to go from strength to strength and, in 2016, our Year 13 students again achieved excellent results.  The overall results were similar to our record year of 2013 when we were placed in the Independent newspaper’s list of the ‘Top 100 Comprehensive Schools for A Level Results’ and in the BBC’s ‘Top 10 Schools for Vocational Results.’ We are hoping for similar recognition for our 2015 results.
